RegionFree.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
What data we collect
Information you provide
- Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter via the sign-up form. Your email is stored in our database for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. We may use a third-party email service provider to deliver newsletters; if so, your email address will be processed by that provider under their own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics data — we use privacy-focused analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This may include pages visited, referral source, browser type, and approximate location (country level). We do not track individual users across sessions.
- Affiliate click data — when you click an affiliate link, we log the click for reporting purposes. IP addresses are hashed with a monthly rotating salt and cannot be used to identify you personally.

How we use your data
- To send you our weekly newsletter (only if you opted in)
- To understand which content is most useful to our readers
- To track affiliate commissions (anonymised, aggregated data)
- To improve the site and fix technical issues

Data retention
- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe
- Affiliate click logs: IP hashes are rotated monthly; click records are retained for up to 12 months for commission reconciliation
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymised; raw logs are not retained
Children’s privacy
RegionFree.com is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
